Hi, I’m James, co-founder of Petals Vets.

I love being a vet; I love working with all kinds of animals, I love connecting with their owners, I love surgery, I love the complex medical cases that keep me up at night… I love it all! What a funny premise for a job, I sit in a room all day and people bring their favourite little creatures in to see me, what’s not to love?

After graduating from the University of Nottingham, I have worked in various hospitals, undertaken advanced training at the University of Cambridge, and I am now completing a certificate in diagnostic imaging. In my spare time I’m a big fan of football, practicing French, & vegan cooking.

Hey, I’m Billy, co-founder of Petals.

As a vet, I love that I have the privilege of supporting a pet's journey through life whilst getting to know them and their families. I love seeing a name on the consult list and instantly knowing the mischievous pet who’s about to trot into the room. So after years of dedicated service in various veterinary settings, I wanted to create a space that prioritises what really makes being a vet so rewarding — building real lifelong connections with pets and their families.

My special interests in veterinary are consulting, geriatric care, and nutrition, which I have a certificate in. Outside of work I particularly enjoy time with friends and family, anything music related, and powerlifting!

Hi, I'm Nikolina, I am one of the senior vets here at Petals.

I graduated as a vet in Greece in 2010 and have worked as a vet in the UK since 2016. My grandad was a farmer, and my dad a vet, so animals run in the family!

I have had the pleasure of working in several first opinion practices and as an emergency vet in 24hour hospitals. I always feel lucky to be able to work with all of our fluffy patients (or not... I’m looking at you Sphynx cats!) and their parents. I love being able to support our patients and their families through every stage of their life, from a new pet’s first visit and all the excitement it brings to the important decisions later on.

I have a strong passion for soft tissue surgery, the variability of day-to-day consulting, and my favourite, ultrasonography. Further to this I am currently working towards a certificate in Advanced Imaging.

Outside of the veterinary world, you will find me at art exhibitions, stand-up comedy events and doing the odd crochet project!

Hey, I’m Demy! I’m a registered veterinary nurse here at Petals.

I’ve known since I was young that this was the path for me, whether it was a pigeon or a bumblebee, I was determined to nurse any animal back to health.

I began working in veterinary practices in 2013 before moving into emergency hospitals, and I’ve loved the variety ever since. From anaesthesia to consultations and everything in between, every aspect of nursing excites me, though I have a particular soft spot for our senior patients.

I’m currently studying for a certificate in emergency and critical care, which allows me to support patients through some of their most complex medical and surgical journeys.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me at my allotment, crocheting, or walking with my life companion, Astrid.

Hi I’m Kelly-Anne, a Registered Veterinary nurse at Petals!

I have worked in the veterinary industry for 12 years. Before that, I volunteered with several animal charities. During that time I have welcomed a dog, many cats, and some guinea pigs into my life.

I have extensive experience working with stray and rescue animals. I have a particular interest in nurse consultations, helping owners feel confident with treatment plans and at-home care. I especially enjoy supporting our older patients and helping to improve and maintain their quality of life.

I am currently working towards a certificate in canine rehabilitation and hope to start a dermatology certificate to better help animals with skin issues, a problem we see very often!

I am a big film buff and go to the cinema at least twice a week! I also have a degree in art and enjoy painting and visiting galleries and shows.

Hi, I’m Tammy, I have been working as a veterinary Client Care Assistant for almost 4 years now, working in both small clinics and hospitals.

I have wonderful pets of my own, a cat, Cookie, and a dog, Shelly. I am hoping to extend my furry family in the future!

Becoming a veterinary CCA has been so enjoyable. I love meeting so many different pets and their owners, hearing all the fun stories of how they became a family and learning about the mischief they get up to.

I love being part of each pets journey whether that’s the road to recovery, or just the day to day catch ups as they pop in for a treat!

No two days are the same but everyday I am excited to see who will come by!

Hi, I’m Millie, a Veterinary Care Assistant here at Petals! I’ve been working in the veterinary industry for the past three years, and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else! I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. As a pet owner myself I understand how much trust people place in those caring for their animals, and I feel very privileged to be a part of each little one's journey as they come through the doors!

In May 2025, I completed my degree in Canine Hydrotherapy and Massage, which has been an incredibly rewarding step in my career. I’m currently studying towards my Master’s degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy, building on my passion for helping animals recover, rehabilitate, and live happier, more comfortable lives.

When I’m not working or studying, you’ll usually find me spending time with family and friends, buried in revision notes, or rehearsing for my next theatre performance - a passion that has also stuck with me for most of my life!
